So I have an update... my doctor will not allow me to return yet, but I know you're in good hands with Mrs. Z.
I wanted to just remind you all that your powerpoints should contain multiple sources (you can find a LOT of sources on our pinterest page, where I had already compiled a TON of resources for each unit and individual works of art in the image set!) I suggest you check it out, and use them to your advantage --might as well use the work I've already done! :)
You will be coming into the exam period next week, and writing two essays, from which you will pull from any and all of the chapters you've already read. Including the three you were assigned since your return from winter break.
YES I KNOW IT'S A LOT!!! You're doing great, but we have to pick up the pace, and since I'm not there, this will be great practice. Don't worry about your grade --unless you completely abandon your reading you'll be fine.
After next week, I may or may not be allowed to return -it depends on if I follow doctor's orders and rest enough and heal. That said, you'll start presenting your powerpoints after midterms. I will expect you to have them complete by the end of midterm week and uploaded to our shared google drive where I can access them and grade them as a part of your midterm grade.
I am also going to require you to create a quiz & answer key on your unit to be e-mailed to me with your presentation. It should include the following on specific works of art, culture, context, geography, vocabulary, techniques used, important information about the artwork created:
20 multiple choice
5 fill in the blank
You are all doing great in this class, and from what Mrs. Z tells me --are very hard working and strong students. I know you can do it, and I know you will do great. You must keep pushing ahead, and if you have questions --you know where to find me!
I will do my best to finish grading your tests and have the grades for you by tomorrow afternoon. I am missing you all very much, and am becoming bored to death. Send me healing vibes so I can come back sooner than later --I really miss being at school! :(
