In three class periods, you have the freedom to create a piece of art that reflects hands done in the style of a particular period of art we studied (impressionism, realism, cubism, a period from the ancient world etc.). You have the freedom to use materials of your choice for this project.
Your grades will be based on
* the amount of time & effort you put into thinking, planning and creating during class
time (60%)
* a written reflection you will submit with your project about (40%)
*how your project reflects the culture, ideals, style, meaning of the art period
you've chosen
*how working on this project has brought you to think about the
meaning of art and how it is defined.
Your written reflection should be 1 page long.
