HI Everyone,
I'll be back tomorrow to help you through some of the test preparations for your first test which will take place on Tuesday. It shouldn't be too bad since we are only discussing 11 works. This should be one of the easiest tests and since its your first, won't build off of any prior content areas. The structure of the test will be: 20 multiple choice 5 identifications 2 short answer 1 long answer Tomorrow I will go over sample long answer and short answer questions to discuss style and structure of how the questions will be asked. We will also review the EQs and EKs from content area I (which I posted earlier). We will also go over the homework that you should have already done, and peer review it. I'm looking forward to coming back. :D ~Mrs. V Here is a great article on the Anthropomorphic Stele from your required 250.
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/24/arts/24iht-melik24.html Please read it - it will be referenced on your Content Area I test! Hello All,
I've created a new homework section where I will put homework questions and study packets for you to find easily. Please check here daily for assignments and due dates. I will also post resources here on the blog, but your actual assignments will be posted under the Homework Questions page. :) ~Mrs. V Here is what AP requires you to know from Content Area I (Global Preshistory). We will review this next week, but in case you want to have access to it early - it would be good to review. ![]()
Hi All,
So we are one week into our curriculum and are full force into learning Content Area I - Global Prehistory. In researching for tomorrow's lecture, I came across this amazing blog from another art history teacher. She goes IN DEPTH for each of the required works. Instead compiling much of the same information, I want to direct your attention to her blog. /jisforjourney.com/category/1-global-prehistory/ Check it out! :D Hi Everyone,
I hope you're summer is going well, and you're deep into your art history work! Its going to be a great year!! First thing's first: There was a mistake that was made in your packet about the museum visit. You ONLY NEED TO RECORD 2 WORKS, NOT 4! Second thing - I've had some issues with the text book situation, so hold off on the reading of "What is Art History" chapter since you don't have it anyway! Have a great few weeks before we dive in! :) Mrs. V Welcome to AP art history! If you're here because you've received your summer work packet, great! If you need additional resources for the summer work - click on the "Assignments" page, there you will find a link to the complete PDF packet.
You are also able to find summer work PDF's on our shared google account. Have a great summer, and enjoy learning about art! See you in the fall! Mrs. Valenzuela |
